The Israeli and U.S. navies began an annual joint exercise, dubbed “Intrinsic Defender”,  involving dozens of service members over the course of several days. “The purpose of the exercise is to strengthen strategic and operational cooperation between the two navies and practice dealing with various regional threats”, the IDF said.
