Speaking alongside Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Trump warned: “I hear that Iran is trying to build up [its nuclear capabilities] again, And if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down. We’ll knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them. But hopefully that’s not happening”. He said that Iran would be “much smarter” to seek a deal. Trump also expressed support for potential strikes on Iran’s missile and nuclear programs, saying: “If they will continue with the missiles, yes. The nuclear? Fast. OK? One will be: Yes, absolutely. The other is: We’ll do it immediately”. “I’m not going to talk about overthrow of a regime”, Trump also indicated. “But they have tremendous inflation. Their economy is busted”.
