President Donald Trump, in remarks to a U.S.-Saudi business forum, said that the Iranians “want to see if they can work out a deal with us, and we’ll be doing that probably. But that was a terrible cloud [ie, Iran’s nuclear program] that you [Saudis] had to live with for a long time”. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson the same day asserted that there was “currently no negotiation process between Iran and the U.S.”.
