G7 foreign ministers, along with the EU’s top diplomat, jointly urged Iran to “fully implement its obligations both under UN Security Council resolutions and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons”. They also called on Tehran to engage in direct talks with the U.S., and condemned Iran for providing military assistance to Russia. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson condemned the statement as “baseless, irresponsible and unacceptable”.
