Iran’s Assembly of Experts announced that Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Ali Khamenei, had been elected Supreme Leader. The following day, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi remarked that “we are all waiting for his speeches and comments… But I don’t think the question of talking with Americans, or negotiation with the Americans once again, would be on the table”.
