President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote: “The conspiracy of Iran’s ill-wishers transformed the arena of civil and rightful protest into a bloody and violent battleground, resulting in the loss of nearly three thousand lives among the citizens of this land and physical and psychological injuries to thousands more…. The American-Zionist conspiracy of January 2026 was the unmanly revenge of the enemies of the Iranian nation for their defeat in the [June 2025] twelve-day war”.
