IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi indicated “up to now, we have no indication that any of the nuclear installations, including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, the Tehran Research Reactor or other nuclear fuel cycle facilities have been damaged or hit”. He added that “to achieve the long-term assurance that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons and for maintaining the continued effectiveness of the global non-proliferation regime, we must return to diplomacy and negotiations”. The IAEA subsequently said it could “confirm some recent damage to the entrance buildings of Iran’s underground Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP). No radiological consequences expected and no additional impact detected at FEP itself, which was severely damaged in the June [2025] conflict”.
