An Iranian military spokesperson contended that President “Trump, when he found his army trapped against the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic, to compensate for his defeat, bombed the very people under the slogan of whose defence he had started the war, targeting innocent men, women and children”. He continued: “This fake army cannot even ensure its own security, so some American commanders and soldiers, after fleeing the quagmire of death against the powerful onslaught of the armed forces, use the people of the region’s countries as human shields.” The IRGC meanwhile warned that regional stability “is either for every or for no one”, adding: “The coordinated launch of powerful and strategic missiles… has propelled the battlefield against U.S. and Israeli aggressors into a new phase”.
