The Israeli military said that its troops shot at the legs of two “main instigators” of riots after several “suspects approached the forces and posed a threat to them” in the southern Syrian town of Khan Arnabeh. Israeli troops left the area after the locals, who were reportedly protesting a new Israeli checkpoint on a major highway, dispersed.
