Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the U.S. government was “certainly not one that the Islamic Republic would seek cooperation or relations with”. He also denied reports about indirect communication between the two countries, asserting: “They create a rumour saying that Iran has sent a message to the U.S. by way of a third country. That’s a total lie”.
