Addressing the IAEA’s Board of Governors, Director General Rafael Grossi noted that the agency had “carried out inspections and design verification at many of the facilities unaffected by June’s military attacks. But more engagement is needed to restore full inspections, including at the affected sites, so that Iran fulfils its obligations under its NPT [Non-Proliferation Treaty] agreement”. He also stressed that “the establishment of the current status of Iran’s inventories LEU [low enriched uranium] and HEU [highly enriched uranium] needs to be addressed urgently”.
