Iran’s foreign minister declared that “in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of the ceasefire, on the coordinate route as already announced by [the] Ports and Maritime Organisation”. President Trump asserted that “the Strait of Hormuz is completely open… but the naval blockade of Iran will remain in force and effect as it pertains to Iran, only, until such time as our transaction with Iran is 100 per cent complete”. He also indicated that “Iran, with the help of the U.S., has removed, or is removing all sea mines”, while underscoring that the U.S. would “separately, work with Lebanon, and deal with the Hizbollah situation in an appropriate manner. Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer”.
