President Donald Trump reiterated his claim that Iran’s nuclear sites were “obliterated” following U.S. airstrikes in June 2025. “Iran was a country that was feared by everybody. Now, it’s a country that’s been very much downgraded”, he added. In a response to a reporter who noted that Iran is reconstituting its missile program, Trump warned: “They can try, but it’s going to take them a long time to come back. But if they do want to come back, and they want to come back without a deal, then we’re going to obliterate that one, too. You know, we can knock out their missiles very quickly”. Trump also asserted that Iran “would like to make a deal right now.”
